Fees & Sessions

The best way to start therapy is in-person, so I would recommend that once we have spoken on the phone (at no charge) the initial consultation is done face-to-face. In this first meeting we will be able to discuss what brings you to therapy and I can learn more about your family history as well as your current relationships and support networks. I will also give you more information about psychodynamic psychotherapy. We can then decide how the therapy will progress. If we both think it would be a good idea to continue to the treatment, we can decide whether the sessions will work best for you in-person or online.

During the consultation we can also talk about whether a short-term treatment, something more open ended, or a different form of therapy will work best in your situation. For some, psychodynamic therapy may not be appropriate, and I will help you to think about what could be more effective for you. If psychotherapy will be helpful, you may have something specific that will benefit from a short-term treatment, and this is a decision we can make together. Long-standing difficulties are likely to need a more deep and open-ended approach.

Initial consultations take from 1- 1.5 hours and are £120 per consultation.

Ongoing 50-minute sessions are £90 per session.

I offer some reduced rate vacancies, which we can discuss during the consultation process.
